With the first quarter coming to an end, it’s the perfect time to take stock of our goals.
Check in on our accomplishments and celebrate the wins.
Note what fell to the side and assess why those things didn’t happen.
Maybe they weren’t a priority.
Something was blocking us.
Or they just aren’t important to us anymore.
Based on what we learn, we can drop or carry forward remaining activities.
Looking Forward
As we switch our attention to the months in front of us, consider what is a “quarter”.
For you (and your life right now), does time naturally include 3 months?
For me, this 2nd “quarter” has shifted over the years.
When I was young, the quarter ended with the school year in late May.
As a young adult, it was the traditional 3-month quarter from April through June.
When my kids were in school, it followed their school year and ran April to mid-June.
My current phase of life has a new “quarter” running April through Memorial Day.
As we move into April, consider what the season looks like for you.
Take on what is reasonable with the rest of life’s commitments.
For many, this time of year can be busy.
End of school, graduations, baby and bridal showers, weddings… the list can be long.
When we have many outside commitments, personal goals can be a little trickier.
Going in with a realistic view allows us to wrap the time feeling accomplished vs. defeated.
Your Turn
How will you define this next quarter?
Do you have a lot of outside commitments to plan around?
What one thing would make you look back most proud of your accomplishments?
