Welcome to the Saturday recap. Enjoy!

Personal Development

This week, the posts are tied to our personal brand and taking ownership of our career and work.  In addition to the blog posts, I was honored to be a guest on the Together Digital Podcast to discuss the concept of becoming the Me-EO of your life and career.

From CEO to Me-EO. The first post of the week explores how we can become the Me-EO of our life and our career.  To explore the topic deeper, you can listen to my interview on the Together Digital Podcast.

The Brand Called You. Back in the 1990’s, I came across an article in Fast Company that shifted how I thought about my career. This post shares that article and my insights.

Embrace the Chameleon. We all have skills and talents outside of work.  Yet, we are reluctant to let them shine in the workplace. This post encourages us to embrace all colors of our inner chameleon.

Perceptions. We can spend a lot of time in our heads considering what others think about us. This post provides an interesting quote to consider as we think about how others perceive us.

CEO of our Home? There has been a fair amount written about how we are the CEO of our homes. As I consider the idea, I think it would be more aptly called “the solopreneur of our homes”.

One Shade Greener

This week, the post – More or Less – explores how our culture is focused on acquiring and having more.  Ironically, more joy might come from having less.

As warmer months are on the horizon, One Shade Greener at Home, has the tips and brand resources you need to make your spring cleaning and yardwork one shade greener.

PodList

In addition to the Together Digital podcast mentioned above, these four podcast episodes caught my attention this week.  I hope at least one will also resonate with you.

The Art of Persuasive Storytelling. 12 minutes. TED Talks Daily. This episode provides thoughts on storytelling and how you can leverage in your work and life.

Are You Asking the Right Questions? 28 minutes. HBR Ideacast. This podcast dives into five types of questions – investigative, speculative, productive, interpretive, and subjective – and when to use each.

Digital Spring Organizing. 23 minutes. The Organized Life. Keeping our digital life organized can be more difficult than our physical environment. This episode provides useful tips & ideas.

What Camels Teach Us About the Future. 35 minutes. Chasing Life. I enjoyed this interview that touches on climate change in a different way. There is discussion of ties to Maslow’s hierarchy of need which I found to be very interesting to consider.
