Our personal brand is complex.
Each year of our career, layers are added.
We build new skills.
Expand our connections.
Shape our reputation.
When we decide we want to intentionally focus on our brand, we often struggle.
Where do we start?
What do we do?
The Fingerprints Personal Branding Method provides a framework.
Three steps full of activities to guide through the process. Below is a summary of each phase.
Phase 1: Mindset
The first step is self-awareness.
We gain clarity on our career history and the difference we made.
We begin to see the red threads.
When and how our strengths shine. We understand our values.
And set a vision for the life and career we want.
Note: Life first…the career fits inside, not the other way around.
Phase 2: Message
With self-awareness activities complete, we can shift to clarifying the expression.
The articulation of our unique difference.
How we can succinctly express our personal brand and thought leadership.
This is where we write summaries.
Create career stories.
And build a personal brand pyramid.
Phase 3: Marketing
The third phase is where we start to act to intentionally build our reputation.
We make updates to our resume and LinkedIn profile.
Begin intentional networking.
Start the job search…if that is a goal.
Create a content plan.
Increase engagement in professional communities like LinkedIn.
For some, they will go further and work on their brand style and tone.
