I love spring. Longer days. Warmer weather.

The world is turning back to color.

Every year, I take photos of the flowers and flowering trees.

I have so many. They make me happy.

Yesterday, I noticed something else about these beautiful flowering pops of color.

They aren’t afraid of standing out next to the green backdrop of new grass and leaves.

They dot landscapes with confidence.

They say, “this is my season, look at me!”

My Perspective

I think most of us could take a lesson from these trees.

We should have the same confidence in sharing our beautiful gifts with the world.

Stand out.

Make a difference.

It’s safer to blend in – I know, I’ve felt it too.

It’s easier to sit in the shadows and let others take the lead – been there, done that.

Yet, what could happen if we all stepped out of that comfort zone?

Maybe it’s time to try it for a season.

Define what makes us stand out and let it shine.

I particularly liked the tree below.

This one showed more than one dimension of itself.

We talk about a portfolio career – this is a portfolio tree.

I would guess they have figured out how to be the Me-EO of their tree life!

Your Turn

What do you think of this analogy?

Do you tend to let your strengths and differences stand out or do you more often try to fit in?

Is there one strength that is typically hidden that you could let out this season?
