While I was in Florida at the end of October, I attended a Full Moon Yoga class on the beach in Marco Island, FL.
I was up and walking onto the beach around 6:15 for the 6:30 class.
It was dark…. but it wasn’t.
The full moon was illuminating the sky.
As I stepped onto the sand, I saw the candles where the class was going to be.
We were near the water.
We listened to the waves and took in the beauty of the setting moon.
During the one-hour class, we watched the moon set and saw daylight break.
I left feeling renewed – physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
There is always a deep connection that I feel when my feet are in the sand, and I can hear the waves breaking in the background.
The experience filled me with gratitude and awe.
It also made me think about The Great Remembering which I reviewed earlier this week.
The experience was the perfect example of many findings in the book.
In particular, I felt “collective effervescence”.
For anyone who makes their way to Marco this season, I highly recommend it.
