On a recent episode of The Retirement Wisdom Podcast, Joe interviewed Valerie Tiberius.

She mentioned during the episode that her father suggested a “Chuck It List”.

Many create Bucket Lists – for their life, their year, even their summer.

However, I think we would all find value from the occasional Chuck It list.

What are all the things we want to stop doing?

We might be doing some of them because we feel we must.

Or we’ve always done them.

Good habits we “should” keep.

My Story

Right now, I am working through my own version of a Chuck It list.

Over the years, I’ve started several side businesses.

Different brand names with varying levels of digital footprints.

Websites. URLs. Social media accounts. Email addresses. Etsy shops.

I have emotional attachments to these brands.

Even though I’m not actively using many of them.

So, this month, I’m on a mission to “Chuck It”.

The decisions have been made on which brands have run their course.

Now, the tedious process of clearing all the information has begun.

The Chuck It decision has already cleared up some mental clutter.

And, slow but sure, the digital clutter is going away as well.

I’ll be leaving this month a little lighter.

Your Turn

What would you put on your Chuck It list?

Is there anything holding you back from checking things off that list?

What one thing could you chuck today?
