This time of year, we focus on many things.
The hustle and bustle of the holiday season.
Parties to attend.
Holidays to celebrate.
Gifts to give.
Season’s greetings to send.
The Clearing Season
Yet, there are days in the middle of the celebrations that are quiet.
We take time to reflect.
Clear thoughts and plans that are no longer serving us.
Set goals and intentions for the year ahead.
This is a great time to clear and reorganize all kinds of things.
My Story
I’ve realized that this time of year is my clear and reset time.
Over the years, habits have been added and removed.
I clear out all my email – archiving what is no longer needed.
Sort through my computer – archiving everything and setting up a new structure for the year ahead.
Re-organize rooms in the house that aren’t working well in their current layout.
Go through books and clear ones that no longer connect to make space for what’s new.
Remove clothes I no longer wear.
Give. Recycle. Donate.
Clearing physical and mental clutter creates the space to take on the new year.
Your Turn
Do you feel the clearing energy of this season?
What habits do you have to remove clutter and make space for the new year?
Is there one clearing project you hadn’t planned on that you want to add to the list?
