Books are an interesting thing.
Some people love them.
Others don’t.
Some read physical books.
Others use an eReader.
And others “read” audiobooks.
Some love long books.
Others want a quick read.
Some love fiction.
Others gravitate to non-fiction.
Within each, there are genres.
Nuances.
I heard something a few weeks ago that has me thinking:
“A book is not something to complete.
It’s something to experience.
A journey to go on.”

My Perspective
This statement has me going back because it’s so true.
No matter the reading choices above that we make.
The book, the format, the genre and the combination they make create the journey.
Our goal shouldn’t be to check a book off the to-do list.
We should be still.
Experience.
Enjoy the journey.
No end goal.
Just the experience of the journey of a great book.
Your Turn
Are you a reader?
Do you sometimes find yourself feeling a book is a destination and not a journey?
How could you slow down, be still, and just enjoy the experience of the journey?
