I love the holiday season.
The festivities.
The gathering of family and friends.
The slowing down.
Reflection on the past year.
And looking forward to what’s ahead.
Yet, I also know the crazy last-minute rush to get ready for it all.
The rush before the rest.
And often trying to fit rest in somewhere in the cracks of the rush.
The Gift
This year, I’m trying something different.
I want as much as possible done before Thanksgiving.
Planning the calendar.
Shopping for gifts.
Creating the annual cards.
Figuring out meals to make.
And cookies to bake.
Getting the grocery lists for those plans ready.
Spreading all the tasks over the next two months.
With the goal of leaning back and soaking in the season.
Your Turn
What do you think of finishing holiday activities before the holidays hit?
Do you ever take on tasks to make life easier for your future self?
How do you manage all the extra activities of the holiday season?
