We have the capacity to infuse or drain energy.

When we walk into a room.

Join a team.

Tackle a project.

We can lift others up… or pull them down.

Sometimes it’s intentional.

Sometimes we don’t even realize it’s happening.

My Perspective

This isn’t just about if we feel “high energy” today.

It’s about reading what the room, team, or project needs.

Are people stuck?

Do they need fresh ideas?

A shift to action?

A clearer plan?

Once we sense the need, we can ask ourselves:

Am I the best person to bring that energy?

If not, who in my network is “just the energy needed”?

My Energies

Over the years, I’ve learned the types of energy I bring to the table:

Fresh thinking when ideas have run dry.

Inspiration through trends and curated insights.

Organization when things feel chaotic.

And the ways I can unintentionally drain energy:

Offering new ideas when it’s time to execute.

Over-curating when decisions are ready to be made.

Seeking improvements without acknowledging what’s already working.

Your Turn

What energy do you bring to the room?

What situations can lead your energy to drain others?

How can you be more intentional and away of each room you walk into?
