It’s summertime.

Time to relax. Spend time outdoors. Enjoy the season.

For homeowners, summer also brings additional chores.

Lawncare. Weeding. Outdoor maintenance projects.

My Story

This summer I chose a word for the season – savor.

I want to soak in all the summer months bring.

Enjoy this time of year.

As we enter August, I feel like I’ve done this.

I go outside nearly every day, taking walks and enjoying the weather.

I’ve spent time on the deck and floating in the pool.

We’ve had family and friends over.

Summer has been good.

However, I’m ready for it to wind down.

While I love this time of year, I’m tired of the outdoor “chores”.

I feel less on top of the indoor chores.

I feel guilty about starting indoor projects.

I feel like I need to be outside because we all know “summer is short in Michigan”.

Summer Guilt

Summer guilt…. it’s a real thing in my life. I wonder if others feel it.

I’m ready for the shift in temperatures to tackle some outdoor projects.

Take on the fall landscape maintenance.

Close the pool for the season.

I realize that mid-February I’ll be wishing to be back here again.

For now, I’m looking forward to some crisp, fall days.
