Mel Robbins has recently launched a book called Let Them.

While you saw my review in the post yesterday, I wanted to highlight another angle.

There was an interview where she stressed the importance of “Let Me”.

When you shift to a Let Them mindset, you must embrace Let Me.

Here’s the concept in Mel’s words:

“Take control of your life.

Don’t control the lives of others.

And don’t let them control you.

Don’t take on their emotions and problems.

My life is my responsibility.

Responsibility is the ability to respond.”

-Mel Robbins

My Perspective

As I learn more about her book, I look forward to reading it.

This philosophy seems aligned with the concept of “Me”EO.

Moving from defense to offense in our lives.

Taking control of our career and life.

Assuming responsibility for what we do.

Choosing how we engage with the world.

This is the year to set the tone.

Let Them.

Let Me.

Become a MeEO.

Your Turn

Do you feel you have a “let them” approach to life?

Are you shifting to behaving more like a MeEO instead of an employee in your own life?

What can you do today to take on a Let Me attitude?
