Today is Thanksgiving in the United States.

A time to be grateful for the bounty of harvest.

A time to be grateful for everything in our lives.

A time to reflect and remember.

A time to celebrate.

My Perspective

Looking back at my year, here are a few things I’m deeply grateful for.

Family & Friends – The year has been full of fun, sorrow, progress, and challenges.  Through it all, I’m thankful that my family & friends – close and extended – have leaned on one another.

Community – I have felt the deep and positive impact of community this year. The community who follows this blog. My creative communities online with members from all over the world.  My growing sustainability community and LinkedIn connections.  I learn so much from all of you and hope to give back at least as much as I receive.

Growth – This first year of self-employment has been a journey of growth.  I’ve learned a great deal about so many things – from technology, to content development, finances, and more.  Along the way, I’ve learned a lot about myself and how I approach the world.  No matter where the year ahead takes me, I’m thankful for the personal growth I’ve experienced this year.

Overall, the past 12 months feel like they have flown by.

Some things went well, others did not.

All blended together to create a fulfilling year.

For that, I’m grateful.

Happy Thanksgiving!
