Welcome to the Saturday post. This is where I summarize podcasts that inspired me throughout the week and give a quick recap of what was covered on both blogs. Enjoy!

PodList

This week, five podcasts caught my attention and made the list. The topics include professional identity, second brain, the impact of Styrofoam, and how smart grocery shopping can save time and be lighter on the environment at the same time.

Dr. Sarabeth Berk – Your Professional Identity is More Than Your Job Title – 54 Minutes. Unmtchd.  For those who struggle to define your professional identity, this is a great episode.

What Makes a Good Job featuring Bruce Feiler – 39 minutes. Hello Monday with Jessi Hempel.  If you liked the Goop podcast featured last week, this is another great interview with Bruce Feiler.

Capture the Insights All Around You – 15 minutes.  The Next Big Idea Daily.  This week, the focus was interviews with Tiago Forte discussing our “second brain”.  If you like this one, check out the full series.

Myth 7 – Styrofoam Containers – 7 minutes. Carbon Sessions.  This episode talks about why we should be looking for alternatives to Styrofoam containers.  Applications for both work and home.

To Save Money on Groceries, Try These Tips Before Going to the Store – 17 minutes. Life Kit.  While the post is focused on saving money, I found many of the ideas have the added benefit of reducing our environmental impact.  For example, cut the meat in each recipe in half = flavor without negative impact.
