Time, Money, and Enjoyment

I heard an episode of the Optimal Living Daily podcast titled The Triad of Hustling.

The three elements of the triad were time, money, and enjoyment.

As I thought about this, I realized how many things in life this triad can apply to.

With opportunities, we consider the time we would set aside.

The money involved – either incoming or outgoing.

And the level of enjoyment involved in the task or activity.

Sometimes the potential enjoyment makes the investment of time and money worth it.

Other times, the required time makes the potential income and enjoyment disappear.

Things that are free and take up a lot of time can be extremely enjoying.

My Story

I don’t feel like I typically think about these three elements.

Two can easily take priority over the third.

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to try to be more conscious of this.

I wonder if I will change my perspective on activities.

Will I say “yes” to something that typically would have been a “no”.

Or the reverse…. will I turn down some things that aren’t worth it.

Your Turn

Have you ever heard of this triad?

If so, did you find it helpful?

If not, is it something you would like to try?

NOTE: This pairs nicely with the first post below on the “Personal Triangle”
