Welcome to the Saturday Summary.

What I’ve Posted – Blog Summary

This week the posts cover a lot of topics. I hope at least one of the summaries below sparks your attention and has you digging a bit deeper.

The MeEO Method. The first post of the week dives into the “levels” of the MeEO. In taking control of our lives and career, we need to be the knowledge worker, manager, and executive.

Courage to Create. Creativity isn’t about art. It’s the new and innovative approaches to every area of our life. We need to find the courage to create the life we want.

Combating Decision Fatigue. We all have decision fatigue by the end of the day. This post provides some ideas on how to make decisions smoother and avoid the end of day drain.

Book Review: Secrets of Adulthood. This title says it all. The post provides my thoughts on Gretchen Rubin’s latest book, Secrets of Adulthood.

Know When to Unplug. Inspired by a quote from Ann Lamont, this post explores how to recognize when we need to unplug and what to do when the moment hits.

What I’ve Listened To – PodList

This week, we have episodes on our career path, creativity, and exploring our mind. Then, the final “one” on the list is a series of three geared to help those navigating the waters of aging parents.

Caroline Wanga on the Career Path No One Tells You About. 35 minutes. Hello Monday with Jessi Hempel. In this episode, Caroline shares her approach to building a career map.

How to Lead a More Creative Life. 14 minutes. Life Kit. This podcast leans into ways that we can embrace our personal creativity and gain the confidence that we all are creative in our own unique areas and ways.

Are You Mentally Fit? 16 minutes. The Next Big Idea Daily. We talk about physical fitness, but not as much about mental fitness. In this episode, Drew Ramsey discusses his book Healing the Modern Brain: Nine Tenets to Build Mental Fitness and Revitalize Your Mind.

A Mind Palace for Your Ideas & The Nine O’Clock Rule. 10 minutes. The Best Advice Show. This episode includes an innovative way to capture ideas and things best not to start after 9pm.

Organizing Your Role as Power of Health Care. 43 minutes. Organize 365. We will all likely have at least one moment in our lives when we need power of health care for someone else. This podcast provides some ideas to implement to make things smoother when actual situations arise. In addition, Lisa has two other episodes that might be of interest: Power of Attorney. 38 minutes. Executor of an Estate. 60 minutes.

What I’ve Been Up To

This week, I have finally made some decisions about the next steps in my writing. The time has come to put a book together on everything I’ve developed around becoming the MeEO of your life. Over the months to come, I’ll be sharing more ideas and concepts from the book. If you would like to be placed on my pre-read list (free), please reach out!

Outside of work, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about summer. The season can be so fleeting, and I want to make sure I go into the warm weather months with intention and a fun list of things I want to experience and do. My goal is getting to September and looking back at how great summer was and not thinking that it “disappeared”.

What Do You Think?
