Welcome to the Saturday PodList. This is the weekly post where I summarize several podcasts that inspired me throughout the week and give a quick recap of what was covered on the blog. Enjoy!
PodList
This week, four podcasts make the list. The first three are short (6 minutes or less) and the fourth is a bit longer (22 minutes). There isn’t a theme, just four solid listens to consider along your personal development journey.
The Unexpected Key to Boosting your Productivity – 6 minutes. TED Talks Daily – Dan Shipper. This episode suggests working with our emotions is the only way to manage our productivity. He believes that productive people are aware of problems, observe what’s happening without judgement, and keep experimenting until things change.
Hot Seat: How to Choose the Right Career? – 5 minutes. The Habit Coach. This podcast explores the idea that every job you have works for yourself, not for a company. The perspective is an interesting concept on how to view your career.
Follow the One Inch Rule – 6 minutes. Before Breakfast. This concept is to ensure that you stay present and follow through to the very last step. There are some great tips in the examples.
Overcome Imposter Syndrome – 22 minutes. The Accidental Creative with Todd Henry. This is a great podcast covering a topic we all struggle with at some point in time. He describes the difference between self-awareness and imposter syndrome. One quote I connected with was this:
“You discover yourself and your courage in community” – Todd Henry
He then goes on to talk about being enCouraged by others. A couple days later, I read a Seth Godin blog post that referenced the same concept. You can check that out here.
How can you encourage someone today?
