For the last 5 years, I’ve spent time in December reflecting on the year past.
I use the 8 dimensions of wellbeing that were covered in the last two weeks: Physical, emotional, occupational, intellectual, environmental, financial, spiritual, and social.
This year, I’m headed into the review with new insights.
I’ve realized that each area of wellbeing can have “clutter”.
The things making that dimension of wellbeing less sustainable.
We talk about being overwhelmed at work or with life in general.
However, we don’t often investigate the specific “clutter” that is having the impact.
Reflecting on Clutter & Sustainability
This year, my reflection will include an exploration of my clutter.
Where has it improved? Where has it been sliding?
In addition to my own reflection, many new questions have been added to the annual workbook.
These will help us find our clutter.
We can explore what is moving us forward and what is holding us back.
I hope that by considering how to clear and organize each area of our wellbeing we can discover changes that will reduce our overwhelm and increase the joy in our everyday lives.
Your Turn
Do you do an end of the year reflection?
Can you see how “clutter” might show up for you in each of the dimensions of wellbeing?
When you have more clutter, do you feel like your life is less sustainable?
