Today is National Read a Book Day.
Books are educational.
Offered in an abundance of topics and formats.
Relatively inexpensive.
Can be enjoyed by anyone of any age.
Reading books improves our memory and concentration.
Enhances our imagination.
Stimulates our brains.
Expands our knowledge.
Reduces stress and anxiety.
Strengthens our writing.
The list goes on.
My Perspective
I love to read and can’t imagine not having that feeling.
Yet, there are many people around me that don’t have the same connection.
I believe we need to continue to reimagine “reading”.
Audio books are books.
Videos tell stories and are educational.
I’m not convinced that the written word is the only way to read.
The only way to get the benefits described above.
If books aren’t your medium, proudly pull out your audio or video today.
Read, watch, or listen to something that inspires you and takes you out of the day-to-day.
Your Turn
Which medium do you prefer to learn and spark imagination?
Where is your favorite spot to “read”?
How can you carve out at least 30 minutes today to relax and explore?
