Welcome to the Saturday recap. This one is dated the 20th but posting a little late as my daughter got married on Saturday!  I hope you find a couple things that resonate for you this week.

Personal Development

This week, the posts are a bit eclectic bouncing from new employee engagement models, learning organizations, and a bit of serendipity.

R/GA Leading the Way.  The first post of the week looks at a new program R/GA has put in place called /ASSOCIATES.  The focus is on leveraging alumni in fractional roles.

Everyday Entropy. This podcast gives an easy overview of the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics – entropy. Thoughts are provided on where entropy might crop up in our life and what to do about it.

Lessons from The Fifth Discipline. This was one of my favorite books I read while getting my master’s degree many years ago. The book about learning organizations is still relevant today.

The Beauty of Chance. This post explores the difference between serendipity and synchronicity. We should allow more of both into our worlds.

Confidence & Competence. Right before my daughter’s wedding, I explore the idea of “you don’t know what you don’t know” and keeping in mind the balance between confidence & competence.

One Shade Greener

This week, the sustainability post – Driving Considerations – discusses the impact of the transportation category on greenhouse gas emissions in the US and what we can do to help (without a new car).

If you are interested in starting or continuing a sustainability journey, One Shade Greener at Home, could be the perfect resource. Full of brands and links to put greener products at your fingertips.

PodList

The PodList this week is short and sweet as there wasn’t much podcast listening during wedding prep.

How to Find Joy in Climate Action. 10 minutes TED Talks Daily. In this talk, Ayana Elizabeth Johnson helps us understand how we can play a role in the climate movement by tapping into our strengths.

8 Steps to Overcoming Fear of Judgement and 3 Questions to Level Up in the Next 3 Months. 26 minutes. On Purpose with Jay Shetty. The title speaks for itself, and I found this to be a great listen.

The Sicilian Inheritance. This is a series that I started to listen to.  There is nothing about personal development or sustainability…. fun to listen to and see what happens.
