Tomorrow, August 9th, is book lovers day.

Today’s post provides a little time to inspire and plan what you might do to celebrate.

This is a perfect day to find a few minutes and tuck into your favorite reading spot.

You could read by yourself or with someone else.

If a book isn’t “in progress”, grab one at random off the shelf.

Here are some other ideas to celebrate the day:

  • Buy a new-to-you book, e-book, or audiobook.
  • Go explore a bookstore or library.
  • Give someone a book as a gift.
  • Host a book swap with friends or co-workers.
  • Share your favorite books with others on social media (#nationalbookloversday)

My Perspective

Books have been a large part of my life.

Fiction. Non-fiction. I love it all.

Non-fiction books left me with a new perspective and lots of ideas to try.

Fiction books took me to new worlds.

When I see the covers they remind me of a vacation, a career moment, or a season in my life.

For those who don’t like to sit down and read, audiobooks are a great alternative.

The options available these days are endless.
