Deciding you want to be a MeEO is a great first step.

However, shifting from an employee mindset to that of a MeEO takes time & discipline.

I’ve made 10 observations that provide a glimpse into the shifts.

10 Shifts of a MeEO

#1. You don’t have time. You need to make time.

#2. No one drives your career and life except for you.

#3. Increasing self-awareness increases progress toward your aspirations.

#4. Only you can decide what is best for you.

#5. You can lead your life or go with the flow. Both are a choice.

#6. You can thrive as an employee in a company. This isn’t about self-employment.

#7. Like it or not, you are a brand. Your reputation precedes you. Manage wisely.

#8. Quiet time leads to creativity and productivity.

#9. Our energy needs to be managed just like our time and money.

#10. Nurture your network. Ideas and opportunities for serendipity.

How to Get Started

We can’t just dive into the list above and suddenly become a MeEO.

We can start with some self-awareness and visioning.

When we know where we want to go, we can start to see a path.

With self-awareness, we can better plan how to approach that path.

Over time, other elements will be added.

Before we know it, we are behaving like a MeEO.
