Often, I don’t publish posts the day or week that I write them.

I look for times when the titles inspire me and post then.

That’s why this one is special.

I wrote it the morning after my daughter’s wedding in the spring of 2024…over a year ago.

Here’s the post that I hope resonates with you now:

Spring 2024

This weekend was a whirlwind of wedding festivities.

Plans were over a year in the making and SO MANY little details at the end.

All went well.

Yet, I learned a lot about myself and others.

I was reminded you can’t do everything… and you aren’t alone.

So many people were there to help in any way they could.

When I was stressed, someone was there to lean in.

When others felt stress, I was there for them.

My two favorite phrases of the weekend:

“We got this” and “It’s all good”.

Those words really seemed to work.

Not just on others, but on me.

When I said those words, I felt it.

My pace slowed.

I took the moments in.

I enjoyed the ride.

The details of the day are fresh.

All my senses were engaged.

I didn’t miss the moment.

The perfect weekend to gain the perfect son-in-law.

Your Turn

Do you ever spend so much time planning something that you forget to enjoy it?

What do you do to calm down, slow down, and take it in?

How do you support others when they are stressed and not noticing the world around them?
