We’re trained early to obey. Follow the rules. Sit still. Raise your hand.
School was built for compliance over curiosity.
Reward and punishment have become the levers that lead our lives.
Gold stars if you follow the rules.
Red marks if you don’t.
And so, the loop begins.
The Loop
Obedience turns into performance.
Performance turns into measurement.
Measurement turns into more performance.
Our curiosity, creativity, and personal needs get squeezed out.
Intrinsic motivation gets buried under layers of extrinsic rewards.
Grades. Promotions. Likes. Bonuses.
We push down what we want year after year.
Breaking Free

Your Turn
Where in your life are you still following someone else’s script?
What would it look like to write your own?
How can you make space today for curiosity instead of compliance?
