Most of us live in a house of cards.

Life balance precariously on shaky foundation.

On the surface, we would likely say our house is strong.

However, a bit of assessment might tell a different story.

My Perspective

We should regularly audit the strength of our life.

I think annually makes sense.

In the audit, we assess our risk.

Considering areas like income.

What happens if it unexpectedly goes away? What is plan B?

Insurance levels.

What level of risk in coverage are we willing to take?

Future finances.

Are we on track to wind down our income at the age we want?

The examples above focus on our financial house of cards.

Yet, all dimensions of wellbeing can be either strong or precarious.

Here are just a few examples:

Physical Health.  Are we doing well or on the edge of health issues?

Social Health. Are relationships strong or hanging on with a thread?

Occupational Health. Does every workday feel like its own house of cards?

Your Turn

What areas in your life currently feel like a house of cards?

What can you do to add some stability and reduce risk?

Which of the 8 dimensions of wellbeing feels like it needs the most attention?
