A new co-working space opened in Detroit called The Creators Nest.
I love the name.
And the concept of the creator space.
The founders, Adam & Stephanie Vaught developed the co-working space for creatives.
A place where they could come and be inspired to do their best work – as individuals or teams.
I also love the way they described how they created the space.
They call themselves “atmosphere engineers”.
They curate spaces that spark joy, peace, excitement, and inspiration.
“What we know for sure – environment matters!”
– Adam & Stephanie Vaught
My Perspective
First, I would encourage anyone to check out the Creator’s Nest.
See if it might be a good fit for you or a team event you have coming up.
I love the term atmosphere engineering.
This is nicely tied to prior posts.
The Feelings of Space and What’s the Vibe.
Both discuss how to determine the feeling you want a room to have.
The next time we look at a space we could consider how to atmosphere engineer what we want.
What feelings we want to convey.
What we want to inspire.
Your Turn
Have you spent time in an inspirational space to push creativity (on your own or with a team)?
Do you have spaces at your work or at home that are purposely designed to inspire?
What environments do you find help you to do your best work?
